Coaching

Coaching comes in all shapes and sizes.  I’ve been coached three times in my life, for different reasons on each occasion.  I’ve been life coached by a phenomenal woman who helped me understand the balance I needed to strike between work and play, by a Tony Robbins performance coach when I wanted to grow my consultancy, and most recently I was coached by an inspirational and courageous woman who guided me to refocus my purpose and helped me arrive at The EI Evolution and everything that it stands for.

I am a Goleman Emotional Intelligence Coach but I also adapt my approach to the needs, purpose, values and personality of the person or group I am coaching.

Coaching is a central part of the consultancy work I do and the services listed in this section are most certainly focused on people development rather than programme or project completion.  Should you choose me to coach you or your team, you could opt for an approach anywhere on the ‘spectrum of quirkiness’ – which means you may wish to have zoom calls with me or meet me for coffee and a chat, or you might be up for me inviting you to a day of walking in the Lake District or go-karting.  There are so many ways to help you achieve your coaching outcomes.

The following is a list of the coaching packages available:

The Emotionally Intelligent Leader

Very often individuals have been given the responsibly to manage people and they are not taught how to do this.  I was that person.  My first experience of leading a team was a steep learning curve. I thought I was brilliant, but my team told me otherwise.  Thank goodness!

This coaching programme will start with self-awareness.  It’s an eight week learning experience.  We would devise your coaching plan together.  You can expect me to adapt my approach according to the objectives you are looking to achieve, your willingness to be challenged and your propensity to learn.

The Emotionally Intelligent High Performing Team

Using the Optimal Balance model, we’d work out exactly where your team are now and where we all think they need to be to achieve the best outcomes with the right balance.

The model looks like a graphic equalizer because the culture of the organization, the nature of the work completed by the team and the style of leadership most often applied within the team influence its performance.  To find out how we can help your team achieve more, contact us, there are too many nuances of the model than we have space to describe here.

“A Spot of Bother”

This is an ‘on-demand’ coaching offer which is a blend of subject matter expertise and coaching.

This is perfect for you if you are looking to have someone who can step in and give you the confidence, reassurance or just the knowledge you need to complete a task, make a work related decision or even present in front of your colleagues. The list is endless and if I don’t think I have the specific skill you need, like budget calculations as a random example, I would know someone who would and I’d put you in touch.

The term ‘spot of bother’ [said with a cockney accent] is something I offer all of my clients but I realized you don’t need to be a full client of mine to call on this when you need it.  Terms would be agreed so that I could meet your expectations and I believe that I will provide authentic support in my waking hours.
